Autres informations : Mort en Corse pour la Patrie et la Liberté - Regiment was part of US 7th Army and was formed from "Slav Companies" (formed from about 6.000 Slovene and Croatian POW from Italian Army) in Corsica. They were responsible for working on Airfields and on Telephone lines. US Army organized also 2 Officers courses - they got 31 Ltn. for supervising the troops. In August 1944 were first 2 Companies transported to Marseille - the hole Rgt. was transported to France in May 1945..
